Chakras are a concept from ancient Indian spiritual traditions, particularly within Hinduism, Buddhism, and certain forms of yoga and meditation. The term “chakra” derives from the Sanskrit word for "wheel" or "disk," and it refers to energy centers in the body that correspond to different physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states. Below, you will find a more comprehensive breakdown of the chakras and the order they fall into:
🌈 What Are Chakras?
Chakras are believed to be spinning vortexes of energy located along the spine, starting from its base and moving upward to the crown of the head. Each chakra is associated with specific organs, hormones, emotional patterns, elements, and aspects of consciousness. When the chakras are balanced and open, energy flows freely, promoting better health and well-being. When blocked or out of balance, they can lead to physical or emotional roadblocks.
⚙️ How Chakras Function
Each chakra acts as a transformer and distributor of energy. They absorb prana or chi (life force) from the universe and distribute it to specific organs and systems. When in harmony, this energy flows from chakra to chakra through nadis (energy channels), especially the central or main channel, called Sushumna.
Energy moves upward from the root to the crown (Kundalini rising), bringing spiritual awakening, or downward when grounding and calming is needed.

Reiki & Energy Healing: Practitioners channel energy to cleanse blockages and restore depleted Chi.
Breathwork (Pranayama): Helps move energy and clear stagnation and blockages within the system.
Color Therapy: Visualizing, wearing colors or eating foods associated with certain chakra colors can subtly influence balance.
